Surrey International Institute Achieves Outstanding Results in the 2025 Liaoning Provincial Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Showcase Competition

Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education announced the results of the 2025 Liaoning Provincial Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Showcase Competition. Our university performed excellently in this competition, with a total of 28 achievements receiving awards. Among them, our institute made an important breakthrough in the field of international talent cultivation. Professor Meng Tao's project, Innovation and Practice of 'Home-Based Internationalization' Talent Cultivation Model Under the Guidance of Ideological and Political Education, won the First Prize, and Professor Shi Da's project, Alliance Empowerment, Local Deep Cultivation: Building a Collaborative Innovation Ecosystem for International Talent Cultivation Serving the Revitalization of Northeast China, won the Second Prize. The two achievements are systematically complementary and synergistic, fully demonstrating our institute's profound accumulation, innovative strength, and practical effectiveness in undergraduate education and teaching reform in the new era, particularly in cultivating high-quality internationalized talent serving national strategies and regional development.

This competition is an important teaching review in Liaoning Province's higher education sector, aimed at summarizing and promoting outstanding practical experiences in talent cultivation, teaching model innovation, and curriculum construction across universities. The two award-winning achievements of our institute closely align with the fundamental task of cultivating virtue through education and the strategic needs of the Comprehensive Revitalization of Northeast China, making forward-looking and systematic explorations in the deep integration of internationalization and localization. The attainment of these two prestigious awards is the crystallization of the wisdom of our institute's faculty team, who have grounded themselves in national strategies, deeply cultivated the frontlines of teaching, and boldly pursued reform and innovation. It is also a landmark achievement of the institute's long-standing commitment to the educational philosophy of cultivating virtue through education, serving needs, and developing with distinctive characteristics, and its continuous deepening of education and teaching reform.
